2025 Call for Proposals

GACTE Fall 2025 Meeting: Call for Proposals:
“Centering Candidates in a Changing World”
November 12 – 14, 2025, Peachtree City, Georgia

Call for Proposals:

We are pleased to invite submissions for presentation at the 2025 Georgia Association of Colleges for Teacher Educators (GACTE) Annual Conference. GACTE provides a forum for dialogue on issues related to professional education, promoting effective public policy, and enhancing and improving professional education programs at colleges for teacher education. The theme for the 2025 GACTE conference is “Cantering Candidates in a Changing World.” The GACTE conference provides an opportunity to share ideas, research, policy, and best practices for teaching and leading. In the last few years, advocacy has taken a front seat among teachers and education leaders. Both in and outside of the classroom, teachers’ efforts should ensure that ALL students experience success in an equitable learning environment. GACTE welcomes proposals highlighting advocacy, teaching, and leading in P-12 and Higher Education classrooms incorporating ample opportunities for participation and engagement, and serving as springboards stimulating further discussion, dialogue, reflection, and action.

  • Traditional Presentation: A 40-45-minute traditional session. Oral presentations may be delivered individually or as part of a group discussion. These sessions provide the audience with ample opportunities for participation and engagement, and they serve as springboards stimulating further discussion, dialogue, reflection, and action.
  • Oral Presentation: Oral presentations may be delivered individually or as part of a group discussion during a 40-45 timeframe. Presenters share their ideas, experiences, and perspectives gleaned from practical application in the P-12 setting. These sessions provide the audience with ample opportunities for participation and engagement, and they serve as springboards stimulating further discussion, dialogue, reflection, and action. A 45-minute traditional session.
  • Poster Session: Researchers may choose to present their research in a visual format during a poster presentation session. In-person posters will be physically displayed during a designated poster session. Researchers share their ideas, experiences, and perspectives gleaned from their research, practice, or policy background and/or focus. Poster sessions will be held in one room where participants can interact with a variety of presenters during a 40-45 minute time frame.
