| The Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education is thrilled to kick off 2023 with the release of our 19th edition of the Top Ten Issues to Watch report. As our annual, flagship publication, the Top Ten report identifies and analyzes the key education issues Georgia will be or should be addressing in the coming year. This year’s report organizes the issues into three sections: Invest in people-centered systems: place individuals at the center of education reform by addressing the factors that limit education success and economic opportunity. Invest in school and community leaders: reconfigure state systems and investments to ensure local leaders are well-positioned to support youth and working adults. Invest in spreading and scaling local solutions: spotlight promising local initiatives that state leaders could integrate into existing state structures and strategies. Across these sections, we spotlight issues such as post-secondary readiness, out-of-school learning, educator burnout, and school safety. The highly anticipated report is widely disseminated to leaders and education stakeholders across the state and is written so the public can understand the complexities of the education landscape. As always, we encourage you to share this report with colleagues and friends in your network who are invested in addressing the most pressing education issues in Georgia. An electronic copy can be downloaded below or on our website, but if you would like a physical copy of the report, The Georgia Partnership will provide one free copy upon request. We only ask for postage reimbursement for larger quantities. |
