Addressing Teacher Shortages through the Teaching Pipeline in Georgia

Recently, Joseph Peters and Cindi Chance published a blog in EdPrepMatters entitled “GACTE Works to Elevate the Teaching Professional throughout Georgia,” which can be found at the following link: https://edprepmatters.net/2022/12/gacte-works-to-elevate-the-teaching-profession-throughout-georgia/#:~:text=GACTE%20Works%20to%20Elevate%20the%20Teaching%20Profession%20throughout,on%20ways%20to%20increase%20teacher%20recruitment%20and%20retention. The post discusses the ways in which GACTE is seeking to examine teacher shortages in Georgia, with a specific focus on teacher pipelines. AACTE has provided a State Affiliate Support Award to work with educators explore this issue, a grant which has been matched by both the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and the Georgia Association of Educators. Information from this initial research will be shared with the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education.
