David Slykhuis, Dean, Valdosta State University served as the GA Team Lead for the ‘advocacy boot camp,’ preparation for advocating with GA contacts, and the Day on the Hill meetings at the Capitol.  GACTE should be honored, we were able to meet briefly with both GA Senators and to have significant time with their education staff members.  We discussed the state of GA educator prep, the teacher shortage crisis, and discussed pending legislation that would support teacher education.  We ‘left behind’ the documents you find here as part of the prep ad follow up work.
